Lake Home at The Peninsula Gets Moved Out
March 2022 Cornelius, The Peninsula, Mecklenburg, Lake Home, North Carolina
This beautiful lake house was on Lake Norman at The Peninsula. When the client called, she shared that her spouse had had a health event and they had decided to sell their lake house. The house had sold in one day, and the closing date was fast approaching. The client's family all lived out of town, and she had to stay near her husband, so there was no one to do the work of getting the house shut down. That is when Sage Organizing's Move Management team was called in. We took care of booking the moving truck, charity pick-ups, shipping, shredding, selling, and cleaning.
In the course of 4 days, we packed the entire house and decided where all the contents would go. Using our color code key was instrumental in keeping things organized. Organizers Aimee, Savannah, and Kim packed up donations for food banks, animal shelters, Habitat for Humanity, Beds for Kids, Jewish Family Services, and also dropped off old paint and insecticides at the recycling center. They organized and packed boxes moving boxes going on the truck, as well as fragile items that the client moved in her car. We partnered with a local buyer to consign furnishings, artwork, and décor, as well as dropped off furnishing at a local high-end consignment shop. We hired and supervised the junk hauling company and the cleaning company. And of course, we created itemized donation valuation reports for the client to use on the taxes.
In the end, we had a relieved and very pleased client. Being able to help clients when they are struggling with all that is going on in their lives is so important to us. We are lucky to be able to use our talents to help others!

"We were struggling to declutter and get packed for our move. Candi and her team work quickly and efficiently. We were able to move when the moving trucks came. We could not have done it without Candi. She was just so great to work with!"
